La Sala has officially become a Cambridge International School, registered with Cambridge Assessment International Education, part of the renowned University of Cambridge. In September 2022, both first grade and K5 classes started the Cambridge Primary program, a high-quality curriculum designed for students from age 5 to 10.
Cambridge Primary is recognized and valued around the world as it prepares students for life, helping them develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning. 8 hours a week are dedicated to lessons in English enabling our students to reach an A+ level at the end of 5th grade.
Compared to a more traditional approach, Cambridge Primary promotes active learning, and builds a robust foundation for learners who want to continue their international education. Moreover, it introduces a new subject, Global Perspectives, which enriches Civics lesson with activities aimed at developing critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork.
In the final year of Cambridge Primary, students will sit for the Cambridge Checkpoint assessments, innovative tests designed to give a comprehensive feedback on the learner’s abilities. The tests will be marked by Cambridge and the results will include detailed feedback reports. Each student will also receive a statement of achievement.
This certification is another badge of honor for our institute, the only one to offer the Cambridge Primary program in the area.
